               EARRING TRENDS FOR 2012

Earring trends come from the three R’s: red carpet,
runway and real life and here are some of the trends
 which we are seeing now.

Button and stud earrings were a success on
the red carpet.  Without doubt, stud earrings will continue to be popular this year since they are incredibly  versatile and can be worn for work and leisure.

Chandelier Earrings

Are they back? Well, this year we are seeing
smaller versions of  chandelier earrings as compared
to the large extravagant styles of a few years ago.

An alternative to wearing a chandelier earring for the
daytime would be to wear a drop earring.

Pearl are a timeless classic which again are set
to continue to be a 2012 trend.  The

look is beautiful  when worn by brides and also complements both party dresses as well as office suits.

As always the Hoop Earring remains popular in a variety of sizes.

When purchasing earrings, remember to consider your scale & coloring.

Effortless Packing

YIKES – I have a half hour to pack and get out the door to an image conference, no problem – DONE! Not only is every one attending the conference an image consultant, but I’m presenting – I better look that part, as all eyes will be grading me. How did I do it, and how can you do it that quickly? Start with a basic core color or neutral-color for you. This Fall and Winter have been seasons of neutrals, i.e. pants or skirts and tops, and then punch up with color by adding a jacket, vest or a signature inherent jewelry piece. I usually adorn with jewelry, as it is already matched to my hair, eye color and skin tones – I just can’t go wrong, as it matches everything I have in my closet. This is one of the perks of knowing your colors and understanding jewelry choices – packed and put together in 30 minutes for an Image Conference!

Trends in Statement Necklaces

Timeless style fashion news

Dear Jewelry Enthusiast,

This month's news update is about the interesting trends in Statement Necklaces.... from the wildly trendy runway pieces, to the truly timeless necklace you can wear every day.

The Statement Necklace

There's been a lot of buzz this season about the trend of the "statement necklace." We simply must weigh-in on the topic with some reality and knowledge so you can decide what's best for you - with confidence.

Bold and Brawny

Shown here is an assortment from the runway showing the season's statement necklace. We see extra-large scale, we see heavy-weight, we see pieces that are memorable. These pieces are not easily integrated into an existing wardrobe, but rather become "outfit specific." Is this look current? Yes, but trends come and go. The trap in spending lies in the lack of longevity with these types of purchases and the relationship disconnect between the jewelry and the woman.

Women who wish to be trendy will buy pieces that are worn for a short while and then it will either sit in a drawer or be given away. Let's not forget, she will be looking at photos of herself years from now and reminiscing of similar madness we saw in the 80's!

Lovely and Luminous

At last we feast our eyes on a true collage of feminine beauty. Jennifer wears a nautilus piece with four-strands of freshwater pearls that makes a softly-bold statement. The scale is varied with small, medium and large scale elements creating a rhythm of design that flows with all her features and body size. It is light in color to reflect her fair hair, eyes and skin-tone.

She reports to have dressed-it-down with simple T-shirt dresses and flat sandals, as well as, created up-town looks combining it with a metallic hand bag and high-heeled sandals.

Cost per wear, easy combining with a dynamic relationship between the woman and the jewelry spell GORGEOUS! It's just that simple - or at least it's supposed to be; and it is with Marilyn Weller Jewelry. www.regmarjewelry.com

Aquamarine- March Birthstone

Aquamarine, a clear blue-tinted beryl crystal stone, is the traditional birthstone for March. The delicate shade of blue/ blue-green is reminiscent of seawater, alluding to its name. With an incredible range of blue tints and shades, aqauamarine can compliment most any coloring.
Aquamarine is also the stone of 19th anniversaries, as it was thought to bring happiness to a marriage. According to lore, the stone originated in the treasure chest of mermaids, and so in ancient days, sailors traveled with aquamarines believing that the stone guaranteed safe passage.

Give the gift of beauty and safe travel with stunning, art-to-wear aquamarine jewelry!
